Border(s) Patrol

The boys took a trip to Borders book store Monday night with Daddy as a guys night out type of thing while I went to an Arbonne get together. We are doing our best to raise great readers & so far they really enjoy books. They had been given $10 each from one of their Grandma's on V-Day & when they found out they could spend it at Borders they were thrilled! Stuart said they must have spent 30 minutes in the kid's section just perusing the books. A huge milestone for Trevor (almost 7) was that he wanted to read the entire book he purchased! In the past he would flip thru a book, decide there were too many pages & give up. But Tuesday he read it out loud to me & needed help on only the "big" words. Slowly and surely he is gaining confidence in the reading realm! :)

I encourage you to fill your house with books, find joy in a trip to the library & give the sense of wonder & adventure when you explore new books together!

Sounds like fun! I love reading a good book and I always have 2-3 books going at once.
